The SafeTamp is 100% designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA. It is 3D laser-built to solve the common pain points found in other tampers.
Does the SafeTamp come in custom sizes, or only standard sizes?
We offer 8 standard mm sizes (45mm to 58mm). You can also order any Custom mm.# size (e.g., 58.5mm, 53.3mm) with no extended manufacturing time. The size is also engraved on the back handle for easy reference.
Is the SafeTamp made of metal, and will it scratch my portafilter or counter?
No. The SafeTamp features a metal-free (non-metal), one-piece solid construction. This design ensures no metal-to-metal contact, so it cannot scratch your metal portafilter or damage your kitchen counter, tile, or wood surfaces if dropped.
Is the SafeTamp tamper durable, and can it rust?
